PhotoPie Week 3

I for one LOVE to take pictures. I have tens of thousands saved on dvd discs because I had to learn the hard way to start backing up pictures. When my kids were born I couldn't get enough of taking portraits of their first smiles, to sweet sleeping baby pics, to pics of them eating first foods, crawling, walking... I think you get the point. Add Holidays to this mad picture taking Mama, and it adds up real fast. So when I say I have tens of thousands of pictures, I can't stress that enough. This week EmilyPie had to pull Landscapes on me. Now I have always taken pictures of my sweet babies.... but landscapes? Not so much. I have traveled alot with my hubby, to gorgeous places and beaches, (Including the Bahamas for our honeymoon) but I never mastered landscapes. So this week, we ACTUALLY had a day in the 70s. (The only reason I complain about 50 degree weather... I have a good friend that lives in Orlando that is living it up in the 80s... on the beach.. in shorts. little bitch.) So I decided to take the kids to Legends out by the Kansas Speedway. They always have so much fun out there, and they keep building more.. and more.. and more... And the shopping. Ahhhhhh the shopping. Put that together with some of the best restaurants and bars/clubs.... right up my alley. Well also, right in front of the theater, (In the middle of all the shops) there is a huge fountain that was built by Wet Design. For those that don't know they built the world renown fountains at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.(Which is crazy beautiful might I add!) The kids love it there.

So these are the photos that I shot. Not bad with a certain handsome little man attached to the hip eh?

Procrastinator? ME? Yeah.......

Awhile back one of my old friends wrote on her blog that she was going to start a weekly photo challenge. She cleverly named this challenge PhotoPie. I have been checking in and reading, taking pictures for the challenge, however when it came time to post I would always find myself making excuses.. and telling myself that " I will do it after....." Well she is on week 3. Week 3 people. I have 2 weeks of pictures for PhotoPie that LAZILY NEVER POSTED. So I figured I would post them now. Better late than never right. RIGHT? Why waste my photography skills with my mediocre Kodak easyshare. I think it takes ok pictures... but for the past 6 months or so I have been looking at the big daddy cameras. I still haven't made up my mind but I think I have a fav picked out. But I wont announce it until I get it. Right now the only thing in mind is the fact that I have 2 WEEKS to pick out a new car!

So now I am hoping (fingers crossed) that the weather man is right, and this is the last crappy cold snowy day we have, and spring really does start next week... cause Week 3s challenge is Landscapes.
